Wang Chung-Kun was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1982. He graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts Department of Fine Arts and received the M.F.A from the Department of Art and Technology. His sound works have a certain kind of musicality, deliberately liberating the abstractness of “sound” and transforming it into more concrete music. For him to convey concepts, one must first understand the meaning and connotation of sound to perceive the emotional expression of music embedded in the real scenario. From a psychological perspective, his works exist in an experiencing perception. Through the flow between sound and music, listeners can grasp the sound rationally and logically, and at the same time, feel the music in an immersive perceptual way. Nevertheless, this simply means that the sound cannot be translated into language, it can only become what it is. In addition to personal creations, he is also the art director of the noiseKitchen Art Co., Ltd. dedicated to the interactive integration of technology and art, combining interactive art, sound art, and dynamic art to create approachable works of art. |
