New Type
The annual TAxT Taoyuan Tech-Art Festival is about to kick off! This year, artist Hsieh Hui-Ching serves as the curator, with the theme “Hybrid Evolution · Future Life – New Type.” The festival invites 13 local and international artists to collectively explore the concept of hybrid evolution and future life, investigating the diverse possibilities of future life forms. The exhibition is organized into three subthemes: “Chimeric Cyborgs,” “Hybrid Creation,” and “Virtual Life.” It reflects on technological evolution and, from the perspectives of philosophy, science, and art, examines how new technologies—such as artificial intelligence, genetic modification, and mechanical life—give rise to various new forms of life.
